Champion Youth Entrepreneurs For Agriculture: Catering the Tri-Cities Community Social

On February 10, 2024, the Tri-Cities Community Social buzzed with excitement as attendees gathered to explore, engage, and celebrate local initiatives. Among the highlights of the event was the culinary experience offered by Champion Youth Entrepreneurs For Agriculture (CYEA), a dynamic organization focused on empowering youth in agriculture.

The event, organized by Canopy Atlanta, a community journalism nonprofit, aimed to highlight and support the vibrant community of Tri-Cities. Canopy Atlanta’s initiative of centering on different neighborhoods to create editions of their publication aligns perfectly with CYEA’s mission of empowering youth-driven initiatives in agriculture, incorporating technology, and embracing STEAM/STEM principles.

CYEA’s involvement in catering the event not only showcased their culinary skills but also emphasized their commitment to sustainable agriculture practices. The Champion Gardeners, a group affiliated with CYEA, prepared a delightful spread that reflected their passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Attendees were treated to a variety of dishes that not only satisfied their taste buds but also highlighted the importance of supporting local farmers and sustainable food systems. From vibrant salads featuring seasonal produce to hearty main courses that showcased the versatility of agricultural products, CYEA’s catering was a true testament to the organization’s dedication to promoting sustainable agriculture practices.

In addition to the culinary delights, the event also featured a brief program with performances by Jim, I Am Arts drummers, and Zakee, further showcasing the rich talent and culture of the Tri-Cities community.

CYEA’s participation in the Tri-Cities Community Social not only provided a memorable culinary experience but also served as a platform to raise awareness about the organization’s mission and the importance of empowering youth in agriculture. As the event concluded, attendees left with not only full stomachs but also a deeper appreciation for the work of CYEA and the impact of youth-driven initiatives in agriculture.
